Elevated Roofing is a growing residential roofing company serving Northwest Illinois, Northeast Iowa and surrounding areas. Our mission is simple: deliver high-quality roofing systems while maintaining a professional, organized operation.
We operate with structured systems, clear communication, and high standards. Our production department is designed to keep installations efficient, predictable, and profitable — without the chaos that often exists in construction.
We currently operate multiple roofing crews and are building a leadership team that can scale production while maintaining exceptional quality and customer experience.
This role exists to run production so the owner can focus on company growth.
Position Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing roofing installations from project handoff through final completion.
This role focuses on planning, coordination, quality control, and subcontractor management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Elevated Roofing’s installation standards.
You will manage subcontractor crews, coordinate scheduling, communicate with customers during installation, and ensure every job is completed properly.
A Field Technician supports production logistics, allowing the Production Manager to focus on leadership and oversight.
Compensation
Base Salary
$65,000 per year
Production Bonus
$150 per completed roofing project
Expected Total Compensation
$80,000 – $95,000+

Responsibilities
Production Planning
• Schedule roofing installations
• Coordinate crew assignments
• Manage material deliveries
• Adjust schedules based on weather
Crew Management
• Coordinate subcontractor crews
• Ensure crews follow installation standards
• Address workmanship issues
• Enforce jobsite cleanliness and safety
Quality Control
• Inspect jobs during installation
• Perform final project inspections
• Ensure manufacturer specifications are followed
Customer Communication
• Notify customers of project start
• Communicate weather delays
• Provide completion updates
Documentation
• Maintain project documentation in JobNimbus and CompanyCam
• Record jobsite photos and notes
• Document any change conditions
Problem Solving
• Identify issues before they become delays
• Coordinate solutions quickly
• Maintain production flow

All necessary technology and equipment are provided.
Work Schedule
This position requires schedule flexibility based on active installations and weather conditions.
Roofing installations typically occur during daytime hours, though early mornings and occasional extended days may occur during peak production periods.
Winter months typically involve production planning, repairs, scheduling, and system improvements.
Requirements
3+ years construction or production management experience
Roofing or exterior construction experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage subcontractor crews
Ability to solve problems quickly and maintain project momentum
Organized and detail oriented
Valid driver’s license
Authority
The Production Manager has authority to:
• Stop work if installation standards are not met
• Require corrections from subcontractor crews
• Control scheduling and crew assignments
• Maintain installation quality standards
This role is responsible for protecting the company’s reputation through proper installation oversight.
Growth Opportunity
This role will grow alongside the company. As Elevated Roofing expands, this position will become a key leadership role responsible for managing larger production volume and additional crews.
