I was just recently made aware of one of Dubuque's local small business photographers out to make a big global impact. I picked this up off of his Twitter:

Pitman Photography is offering $50 sessions (80% off!!!) All proceeds going to Blood:Water Mission. http://www.pitmanphotography.squarespace.com

As it reads, all proceeds of the $50 paid goes to Blood:Water Mission during the month of November. Graeme is one of the better photojournalist style freelancers in Dubuque and it would seem wise to let the whole city know about this.

I think this kind of thing is worthy of news in Dubuque, especially if it gains success. I also don't see this as a clever marketing ploy but a genuinely good and compassionate idea.
