Cherish House is a Christian maternity home in NW Iowa, Okoboji area. This 3-year-old beautiful spacious home currently has openings for young ladies between the ages of 12 - 23+ facing a crisis pregnancy situation and looking for help and a safe place to live. Cherish House allow girls to be away from the stresses of home by those who may not be supportive of your decisions. Sometimes just getting away from home and/or unhealthy relationships / influences for a short time is what is needed to think things through for you and your baby. Many of the girls come to Cherish House because they are not getting along with their parents and want to have someone that will just listen to them without being judgmental or angry with them. There is no cost for girls to live at Cherish House and girls come from all over the country to find help at Cherish House. All you need to do is contact us by phone or visit http://www.cherishhouse.org and fill out our contact form to get the process started. If you have no way to get here we can come and pick you up in most cases. If you are homeless and pregnant you will receive top priority and may even be able to check in right away. We will give you a very nice home to live in, medical care, transportation to and from work or school, and meals are provided for you while living at Cherish House.
We take very good care of the girls at Cherish House and feed them well while making sure that all their prenatal care is taken care of. The comprehensive parent training, childbirth classes, adoption -vs- parenting counseling, food, housing, and transportation to and from work or school, plus much more... are all provided free of charge through donations from businesses, churches and private donors from around the region. We even help girls who are of working age find a job and a place to live after they have the baby. We provide free adoption assistance through a choice of trusted local agencies for the girls who are interested in adoption for their baby. If you want to keep and parent your baby then we will help prepare you to parent your baby.
